My name is Killian A. Bies, and I’m a student-athlete at Cornerstone University studying Broadcast Communications with minors in Creative Writing and Biblical Studies. I split my time between baseball, coursework, and the writing projects that have become the center of my life.
I’m working toward a career as a freelance journalist and author—someone who reports honestly on the world while continuing to build the creative work I’ve developed for years. My interests range from politics and global events to sports, culture, and faith. Whether I’m interviewing a source, drafting an article, or shaping a chapter of my fantasy world, I try to write with clarity, integrity, and a sense of purpose.
My background in Creative Writing fuels the narrative side of my work, while my studies in theology ground me in a perspective that values truth, humility, and meaning. Baseball has taught me discipline and resilience—skills that carry directly into the long, steady work of writing.
Based in Grand Rapids, I’m always open to story tips, leads, and opportunities to cover new topics. If you have an idea or a story that needs to be told, feel free to reach out.
