Ph.D. Candidate in Operations Research
Email: yw634 "at" cornell "dot" edu
I am a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in Operations Research at Cornell University, advised by Professor Huseyin Topaloglu at Cornell Tech. I obtained a B.S. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Columbia University and B.A. in Mathematics from Carleton College.
I am broadly interested in decision-making under uncertainty, where my goal is to develop optimization models and algorithms to tackle a wide range of operational problems. I am incredibly fortunate to have worked with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection as part of the PiTech PhD Fellowship during the Summer of 2024.
I am on the 2025-2026 job market! My INFORMS Job Market Showcase talk will be at Building A Level 3 A312, Monday, October 27, 4:33 PM - 4:51 PM
