My better half:
Welcome to my academic web page! I am an Associate Professor at the School of Economics at the University of Sydney. Here is a link to my faculty page at the School of Economics.
I am a development microeconomist focusing on the development of the private sector (firms, access to finance, entrepreneurship, markets, role of new technologies), with projects often overlapping with environmental, agricultural, and behavioural economics. A lot of my ongoing work is on development and inclusive finance in emerging markets, especially small and medium enterprise finance, financing innovations, and digital payment networks. I am involved in leading a number of ongoing field-based projects in countries including Fiji, Pakistan, the Philippines, Tanzania, and Vietnam.
Here's a recent blog on reconciling conflicting estimates of financial inclusion across various markets, with a focus on Pakistan.
