I am a PhD candidate in sociology at Cornell University. I study how evaluative practices in meritocratic systems are sustained or challenged, and with what implications for inequality. I grew up in Singapore, where most of my research is based. 

In January 2025, I will join Singapore Management University as an Assistant Professor of Sociology.
