Organizers

Franziska Babel, phd

is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Computer and Information Science at Linköping University, Sweden. She has a background in engineering psychology and human factors. Her research interests are in HRI (technology acceptance, persuasive robotics), human-machine interaction, and persuasive technology. In her thesis, she investigated conflict resolution between humans and robots. She was one of the program chairs for HRI'23 Pioneers

Claire Liang, phd

is a Postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She works on making implicit information used by humans, usable for explicit robot reasoning by using topological methods and human context. Her interests lie in the bridge between theoretical planning and human interaction.

Hannah Pelikan, Phd

is a Postdoc in the Wallenberg WASP-HS project \textit{AI in Motion} at the Department of Culture and Society at Linköping University, Sweden. Hannah uses video analysis to study how humans interact with robots in different real-world settings such as public roads and family homes. She was on the paper committee for HRI2024 and the organizing committee for HRI Pioneers 2024

Zhi Tan, PhD

is an Assistant Professor at Northeastern University. His research explores how to build systems and algorithms that enable users to seamlessly interact with multiple robots and intelligent systems both in the lab and in the field. He organized a workshop at AAAI23 and was on the organization committee for HRI 2024 and HRI Pioneers 2018

Sydney Thompson

is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Yale University. She is interested in modeling human social behaviors to enable more seamless interactions between humans and robots. Her current work centers around intelligently starting interactions with robots in public settings.
