Welcome! I am an applied economist and data scientist, specializing in impact evaluation methods and machine learning applications for causal inference.

I am currently the Lead Data Scientist and Founder of AImpact Lab, where I work with companies and governments to assess the return on investment of social and environmental programmes. I am also an Associate Member of the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at the University of Oxford.

In my research, I have investigated the causes and consequences of armed armed conflict, with a particular focus on evidence-based social protection strategies that mitigate harm for vulnerable communities in Africa and Latin America. My work has informed policy at international organizations—including the World Bank, UNDP, FAO, and UNICEF—where I have served as a consultant.

I received my PhD from the George Washington University, an MPA from Cornell University, a BA from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), and did my postdoc at the University of Oxford's DSPI and Nuffield College.
