Frances Sobolak
PhD, Linguistics
I am a recent Linguistics Ph.D. grad from Cornell University. My theoretical interests include morphology, morphosyntax, and the syntax-semantics interface. Equally important to me is (i) a commitment to capacity-building and language revitalization efforts in Indigenous communities and (ii) higher education pedagogy. This venn diagram of interests is explored more in the Research page.
I recently joined the Center for Instructional Excellence at Purdue University as an Instructional Developer. Here, I support instructors incorporate evidence-based, active learning strategies into their classrooms/courses. To get connected, schedule a consultation or email me at fsobolak [@] purdue [.] edu
I am also putting together a Na Dene Working Group! Please contact me at the below email if you're interested in joining.
