Eric M. Solis

I am a PhD candidate at Cornell University, and an Instructor of Philosophy at the University of Alabama. Before coming to Cornell, I received a BA and MA from the University of Arizona.

My research focuses on Ancient Philosophy, especially on ethics, political philosophy, and moral psychology in Plato and Aristotle. I am also interested in contemporary debates in these areas, and in the history of philosophy more generally.

I regularly teach courses on various topics and figures in ancient philosophy, though my teaching ranges widely.
