We went through 3 cycles of learning over the course of 2 years. At the beginning of the second year (beginning of cycle 3) we decided we needed to reflect and make adjustments to our original change idea.
Our first change idea was a teacher strategy and we changed our change idea to be at the school level because we felt that high teacher turnover at our school made our first change idea less effective.
Since our team's work in 2016-2018, our school has continued to build on this initial proposal and continued to reflect and adjust our course offerings and course sequences to best fit students' needs and interests.
John Jay School for Law hosted a Quad Inter-school Visit
As our School Team Coordinator, I co-created this agenda and met regularly with a DCC facilitator to plan the event and track our school's progress in the cycles of learning.
As we worked through the cycles of learning at the school level, we also periodically met for a day of professional development at different schools. Throughout these 6-8 gatherings each year, we engaged in inter-visitations, Japanese lesson studies, and student panels and interviews.
