Call for Participation
Submission Due (Updated): March 14th, 2025 February 28th, 2025
Acceptance Notification: March 20th, 2025
We encourage participants from academia or industry to apply!
Of course, the workshop is welcome to all and we look forward to seeing your applications.
(You will need to log in to your google account first before submitting your application through this Google form link)
You have two options for participation:
Submit a position paper to present.
Participate without presenting a position paper.
In both cases, please submit your application using the "Apply Now!" button at the top of this page. Additionally, please remember to register for CHI 2025 and select the workshop titled “Bridging HCI and Industrial Manufacturing” during the registration process.
Participants are encouraged to submit a two- to four-page position paper in the CHI Publication format; however, submitting a paper to participate in the workshop is not mandatory. The paper should examine HCI in industrial contexts. It should include an introduction to the authors and their work and describe how their work relates to the workshop's goals.
Alternatively, participants may submit a short document (e.g., a Word file) outlining the challenges or topics they wish to discuss during the workshop, such as specific issues related to HCI in industry. This document should explain what they would like to discuss and why it is important.
At least one participant from each submission must attend the workshop in person. These position papers will form the basis of the discussions and prompts for discussion sessions. With the author's permission, the proceedings will be made available online. The paper should be submitted as a PDF file via the "Apply Now!" button at the top of this page.
For industry members: We might be able to offer a fee waiver!
Please be sure to check with your organization first, and if your company or school doesn’t cover the participation fee for this workshop, let us know.
