“I have something in a major/minor that occurs frequently but isn’t approved through our College or NYSED as standard, what can we do?"
This will be handled on a case-by-case basis. The standard response is “let’s get this approved as soon as possible” but we also need to see the nuance in each situation. Bring these to me as soon as possible so I can work with OUR Leadership to determine what options we have.
“What if a course changes that’s in this program? Will Stellic update?”
That depends on the change. Stellic is dynamic and brings in information from PeopleSoft. Be sure to keep your courses up-to-date in CCI.
If the course change is substantive, such as Credits or Deactivation, you need to update your major with NYSED or minor with your College/School. This must be done immediately to be changed in Stellic as we follow what is in the catalog, not what is on a checklist.
“What if a requirement is needed that isn’t in Stellic, such as a minor?”
That’s a great question! I would start with finding out your goal with that requirement, then I would connect with OUR Leadership to determine next steps. Communication will be key with this sort of situation in Stellic.
"Will students be able to incorporate hypothetical course grades and term GPAs into their planning on Stellic?"
Students cannot factor in hypothetical course grades or term GPA's into their plan. For more information about the planner functionality visit our Help Center.
"How soon are grades and changes reflected in Stellic?"
In the production environment (PROD), data will be transferred into Stellic nightly. In the testing environment (TEST), data will be transferred into Stellic weekly on Friday nights.
"What if parts of the audit seem to be missing near the end, such as focused electives?"
Sometimes the contents of the audit are just a bit too long to automatically display. Try selecting "Expanded Audit" or "Compact" from the view options at the top right of the audit. The Expanded Audit displays everything in the audit, where the Compact displays the high-level information that can then be expanded.
