Callbacks:January 24th, 3pm-5:30pm
*All auditioning should watch the 1939 Wizard of Oz movie before auditions.
There are TWO roles that require NO SINGING! If you wish to audition for Ms Gulch/Wicked Witch or the Wizard (MorF actor) only, you DO NOT need to sing for the audition! Instead, please prepare the audition sides provided.
Please sing a song that matches the role that you'd most like to play. Keep in mind that for the main roles in the show, we are looking for the strongest singers AND actors!
You will be considered for all roles, regardless of who you sing for initially.
If you are needed for callbacks on Friday, you will receive an email no later than Thursday evening.
Unless you're auditioning for the Wizard, Wicked Witch or off-stage chorus, everyone must dance for their audition.
If you are not a dancer, don't worry. We just want to make sure that you can move and learn choreography. You don't need to be perfect, you just need to try! Showing us you're willing to try often makes just as big an impression at an audition as nailing everything flawlessly.
You will not need dance shoes, tennis shoes are fine.
Serious dancers or those auditioning for the dance chorus should bring dance shoes and clothes that can be danced in.
You may sing 16-32 bars of any song you'd like, in the style of the show. (Golden Age of Broadway/Hollywood, Great American Songbook, etc.) OR you may sing any song from the show. (You may use the callback music provided for your initial audition, if you would prefer this rather than finding your own audition song.)
Please review all of the callback music provided so you are prepared if you are called back. An accompaniment recording and sheet music PDF are provided on the links to the right.
