Patient FAQs

What Insurances do you accept?

Core Potential is an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Medicaid, VA, and Tricare. We accept all insurance.

Will my insurance pay for physical therapy?

It is the policy holders responsibility to understand what is covered under their specific policy plan. Your insurance card will have a customer service line to call in regards to this information

Do I need a doctors referral for physical therapy?

Alaska is a direct access state for physical therapy so a referral is not always necessary. Many insurances still require a referral so its always a good idea to call your insurance's customer service support line for specific stipulations you may have.

What should I wear to the appointment?

Wear athletic clothing you are comfortable in. Clothing items such as turtleneck sweaters and jeans are not recommended as they inhibit the therapy process. We provide shorts to change into if you need.

How long are the appointments?

Our appointments last 30-40 minutes.

I'm running late to my appointment, can you still see me?

Core Potential has a 10 minute policy. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment we will have to re-schedule you to the next available appointment slot
