This site is designed for teachers to use with students to improve the quality of the sharing students are doing in class.
The Manaiakalani Programme Outreach and Te Ara Tūhura are committed to supporting effective practice in this highly digital world we live in (Learn Create Share). We want to make sure our sharing is quality and helps to engage our authentic audience in an interesting and engaging way. Without quality sharing, we can't achieve quality commenting.
Sharing Connects us with each other, emotionally and practically.
Sharing positively makes a difference to our lives - academically (particularly writing) and to our wellbeing.
Sharing digitally has both a reach and speed advantage
We believe Sharing/Tohatoha is fundamentally about people making connections. Making connections and sharing via their blogs enables our young people to connect with an authentic audience and provides a rich and engaging platform to learn how to maintain positive and supportive online relationships.
We are also using our class blogging platform to build powerful connections across our clusters through Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu, our team blogging programme. Participating and contributing to Tuhi Mai Tui Atu supports our young people to make smart decisions about how they share online and experience positive, healthy, online interactions.
