What is Mx Concordia?
Mx Concordia is an annual pageant fundraiser put on by Lambda Delta Sigma for the YWCA. Contestants are Concordia students who identify with he and/or they pronouns. There are four portions of the evening event: talent, cobber spirit, costume, and a Q&A portion. After all contestants have performed, the judges will crown one Mx Concordia. It is an event of fun laughter and raises money for a great cause.

What will I do as a contestant?
Perform at the evening event
You will be creating your own school appropriate performances, with the help of your coach, and will be performing them during the event on January 27th. You can be creative and use this time to win points from the judges.
Your coach will also work with you to develop your acts and to answer any questions you may have about the pageant.
Raise money for the YWCA
You will earn points from the judges after each section of the competition, but you will also earn points for how much money you raise. The more tickets you sell the more points you will get. You will also get points from the audience at the end of the performances.
Advertise for the event
The week leading up to Mx Concordia is the time for you and the other contestants to help sell tickets and spread the word for the event. You will carry your collection bucket and wear your sash, both provided by your pageant coach.
Represent an organization on campus
Each contestant will be introduced by the organization they are representing, ex Mr Football, Mx Choir. You will also be repping your org in the costume section of the event.
Why should I participate in Mx Concordia?
By participating in Mx Concordia you will be benefiting the community by raising funds and awareness for the YWCA, a vital organization to Fargo-Moorhead. You will also be part of an exciting event, get to represent your campus organization, and show off your talents and personality to your fellow Cobbers. Mx Concordia is a unique opportunity to Concordia College and we hope that you will take part!
