Certified staff members who registered in the 2016 - 2017 school year for the first five-year CTLE registration period will be required to re-register during the 2021 - 2022 school year.
Who is required to re-register:
Any holder of a classroom teaching, school leadership and teaching assistant certificate that is valid for life (Permanent, Professional and Level III Teaching Assistant). Initial certificate holders are not required to register or complete CTLE.
Permanent certificate holders who do not hold Professional or TA Level III certificates are required to register but are not required to complete CTLE. Permanent certificate holders who subsequently receive SOCE certificates are still not subject to CTLE completion. Upon re-registration, these individuals will have unique prompts which will not require them to attest to CTLE completion.
These registrations and CTLE requirements do not apply to holders of: Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) certificates, such as School Counselors, School Psychologists, School Social Workers, School Attendance Teachers, School Dental Hygiene Teachers and School Nurse Teachers.
When to register
Those with expiring registration periods are supposed to be notified by the Office of Teaching Initiatives via email to re-register. (Please make sure that the email address on your TEACH account is valid). The date of re-registration will be based on your original registration date, which was tied to your birthdate. Your current registration information is on the account information page of your TEACH profile. The earliest reregistration date will be in July 2021.
