MISSION STATEMENT
This project is a movement that highlights how as a people, we are adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic and using scientific information to stay safe, healthy, informed, and protect others especially our most vulnerable populations.
Our goal is to provide non-bias scientific and health information translated, showcase how essential businesses are adapting to the pandemic, and collect and provide data to develop effective COVID-19 knowledge tools for essential workers. We will create a reliable virtual platform of information where stakeholders including community members, students, tourists, scientists, researchers, and business owners (small and large) throughout the state of Florida can turn to for resources.
SERVICES
Pandemic Win Tracking- Showcase how essential businesses are adapting to the Pandemic:
Create a Cohort of “Pandemic Win Trackers” that will go out in their community (safely) and capture how local businesses are adapting to the pandemic and practicing social distancing. We will work with the School of Hospitality Management at Bethune-Cookman University to showcase the best practices and provide resources to our local businesses in the hospitality and retail industry using multiple platforms including social media.
2. Identification of Healthcare Accessibility and COVID-19 Resources and Information.
Through our virtual platforms, we will provide nonbiased information and data related to the pandemic. Information including links to data associated with the pandemic (cases, vaccination, research opportunities), PPE supplies, industrial supplies, COVID-19 town-Hall meetings, webinars, and safety training.
3. Translation of Scientific Findings in a fun non-bias fashion for everyone to understand.
i. Biweekly segments deciphering highly published news articles and breaking down the scientific and health information based on a rigorous evaluation that is non-bias and adapted from the systematic review process. Scientific discoveries and their real-world applications will be broken down into foreseeable categories including Can Safely happen this year, next five years, or next ten years and beyond.
ii. Communication exchange with audience members who call in, text, leave comments, or direct messages (DM) the hosts with topics related to the Pandemic.
iii. Air and promote Webinars, and Town-Hall meetings from the various institutes of the National Institute of Health and other prominent health organizations in other states to broaden participation and exposure of COVID-19 resources and practices.
