Meagan Odom, Mychal Riley Marlette gave you a shoutout!
"Meagan goes above and beyond to help us all any way she can! Many times, we don't even have to ask, she just knows! She is a check in/check out buddy with one of my students everyday despite her busy schedule and workload. I also see her doing similar things for many students in our school. Not to mention, she is a wealth of knowledge, a smiling face, and we are so blessed to have her in Cook County and at CPS!!! Thank you for all you do! "
Carol Waites, Jodi Robbins gave you a shoutout! "Carol is the best! I'm thankful she keeps us all in line!"

A Message from McElrath:
Just recently I had the privilege of learning about a fabulous young lady named Kelsey Norris. Kelsey has a very interesting story. She was adopted from an orphanage in Russia by a lady from Georgia. Her new mom knew that Kesley was born with many challenges. The doctors informed her mom that Kelsey had autism and Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome (a condition that makes a person smaller than normal). In spite of all of these challenges, Kelsey, now a junior at Veterans High School in Kathleen Georgia, has become a published author, speaker, special olympic medalist, and beauty queen!. She is the perfect example of the things that our students with disabilities can achieve when they have a strong support system. I would encourage you to take a look at Kelsey’s facebook page “Kelsey Norris - Special Needs Means Special Abilities.” You will be blessed!
Do you have a child that receives special education services in our school system? If so, please complete the parent survey below if you have not already. Let your student's case manager or Sped Coordinator know if you have any questions!
