We have an America Reads volunteer who visits weekly to share in our literacy experiences. She has taught us some interesting facts about world culture through books and artifacts from her travels!
Our classroom has a wonderful connection with the RiverMead Lifecare Community. Residents volunteer once a month to complete literacy activities with students.

Cornucopia!
Students in second grade participate in tending, harvesting, and sampling the fruits, vegetables, and edible flowers they planted in our garden beds. The Cornucopia Project is a non-profit that provides gardening and food-preparation experiences for the greater Peterborough community.
