About Me:

I grew up in Connecticut and went to college at Binghamton University where I studied dance and theater. I spent the first 25 years of my professional life as a touring dancer with a dance company I co-founded with two friends. The original company was called "The Second Hand Dance Company. The next company, Galumpha, still exists, though I retired from dancing in 2007. I earned a Master's in History and a Masters in Education between 2001 - 2007.

I got married!!

The 2022 - 2023 school year will be my last at ConVal, as I will be moving to the Finger Lakes region of New York to live with my new wife, Lisa Fernandez! My daughter is currently a sophomore at UVM-Burlington, and my son is a music teacher (chorus, piano, guitar) at Hampton Regional High School in Massachusetts.

In addition to teaching Social Studies, I have been a GSA advisor, Anime Club advisor, track and field coach, System Administrator for the district's curriculum mapping software (ATLAS), served on many school and district committees including the Professional Development Committee, the Curriculum Council and Cabinet, the Virtual Learning Committee, and served as an ILC and SEL facilitator
