Memorization Plan for Week 2 Classes of “Mary Poppins”
Please allow ONE HOUR for Friday and Saturday, more for Sunday.
Please make goals each day to memorize text, sing proper diction (clarity of vowels and consonants), accents, dynamics (including crescendos), harmonies. This is an expectation to be prepared for Monday’s class.
These days are designed to start and end each day with the pieces that should be more familiar to sing and memorize the text. Most challenging pieces will be in the middle of each day’s material. Notice that Sunday includes all pieces to keep your memory sharp for choreo and music details next week. Make sure to review ALL PARTS we did in class this week for each song with the VOCAL and ACCOMPANIMENT tracks. Make sure you practice timing your singing with the ACCOMPANIMENT tracks.
