GBS Art Studio

Welcome to the GBS Art Studio!

Teaching for Artistic Behavior (TAB) requires students to develop studio habits of the mind by regarding the use and care of materials, tools, and equipment; and demonstrate an openness to exploring new ideas, and a willingness to experiment, innovate, and take risks with their learning.  By planning their own artwork, students ignite their own imaginations, address student, family, and community issues, needs, and interests, as well as, tap into substantive art content. This all correlates with the National Common Core Arts Standards which asks students to be able to create, present, reflect, and connect.

Students will learn to think like an artist in an art studio by developing their craft,  envisioning, engaging and persisting, expressing themselves, observing, reflecting, and stretching and exploring.

SHOM & Multiple Intelligences
