Hello students and family members! This is my eighth year teaching at Antrim Elementary School. I've also had the opportunity to work at Francestown and Temple Elementary Schools. I feel lucky to work in a school where students are number one, and we work together as one big community!
Education
I didn't take the conventional road to becoming a teacher. After high school I apprenticed with a chef for a year and became kitchen manager/chef at a boarding high school. While running the kitchen I was also a dorm parent, and taught cooking and nutrition classes. I enjoyed the teaching so much that I decided to leave and get my degree in elementary education from Keene State College. My practicum and student teaching was done here at AES with Mrs. Zawacki!
I'm currently finishing up my Masters Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Fitchburg State University. It has been a lot of fun to go back to school again!
Hobbies and Interests
I love to be outside and explore the natural world! (especially with my two black labs, Bo and Lucy)
When the weather is warm I enjoy taking care of my gardens, fruit trees, and field. I also love to swim!
When it's cold and snowy I'm off skiing or snowshoeing with my dogs.
Some of my other interests are our local sports teams, birding, cooking, and finding new ways to make teaching fun for my students!
