Physical Education

K-1st-2nd

  • Locomotor Movements - run, walk, hop, jump, skip, gallop, slide, leap and dance)
  • Non-Locomotor Movements - balance, weight transfer, curl, stretch, twist, bend, roll
  • Manipulative Skills - throw, catch, dribble(w/hand), dribble(w/foot), kick, volley, striking (w/hands, bat, rackets, stick)
  • Jump Rope - long rope and individual short rope
  • Movement Concepts - personal space, pathways, shapes, levels, direction, speed, force
  • Physical Literacy - engages in physical activity during class, identifies opportunities for physical activity outside of school, identifies and participates in activities that contribute to physical fitness
  • Personal Responsibility - exhibits responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others

3rd-4th
