Continental School MegaTree Project – A Community Creation
This holiday season, our school is proud to showcase a one-of-a-kind MegaTree light display, designed and built through an incredible collaboration of students, staff, and community partners.
Our Coding and Robotics classes engineered the brains of the project—designing and assembling the control board, wiring all of the pixel lights, and programming custom light sequences perfectly synchronized to music. Meanwhile, the Welding and Home Maintenance classes brought the structure to life, designing, fabricating, and welding the massive steel frame with a wench and pulley system that supports the tree’s towering display.
Adding an artistic touch, the High School Choir recorded a special holiday song exclusively for the MegaTree. Their performance was transformed into a choreographed light show, allowing their voices to shine—literally—through thousands of synchronized LEDs.
This project would not have been possible without the generosity of our community. The Town of Continental, the Christmas in Continental Committee, and numerous local businesses provided funding, materials, and support, helping bring this vision to life for everyone to enjoy.
The MegaTree will be lit nightly throughout the holiday season. We invite families, friends, and neighbors to stop by, enjoy the music, snap photos, and celebrate this extraordinary example of creativity, teamwork, and community spirit.
