Litering and It's Impacts

Littering has been a problem for years, it damages the community yet  people overlook it, and turn the other way. 

The school should promote environmental friendly events and habits to influence students the importance of being green.  

Plastic takes over 400 years to break down. This plastic harms animals of all kinds. There's a wide selection of litter that pollutes the world, food wrappers are one of the major sources found in litter, gum as well, and aluminum cans. All are seen on the courtyard, grass, and plants of the school. Not only is it harmful to the environment, but disrespectful. 

It looks untidy to be seen, and is gross for everyone. School cafeterias after students leave and leave their trash on the tables looks just as bad too. Of course janitors clean it after but no one cleans the outside.

Yes, it is hard to turn green and environmentally friendly, especially for a school that has thousands of students attending. However, there are always small ways that the principal and officials can promote. For example, using biodegradable straws, using less plastics, and recycling trash.

There is still time to change the earth we live in, starting at this school , it can make an impactful change now, and for the future generation.
