Goal for Dismissal Behavior: Students will demonstrate the understanding of the importance of safe and orderly movement on campus during dismissal.
Dismissal Procedures
Dismissal will begin at 3:00
- No students in main hallways before 3:00
- Grade levels decide how to group kids prior to 3:00
All grade levels dismiss in the following order:
Daycare & Lockeridge, Cox, York Bikers/Walkers
K-1 Bus goes to cafeteria.
Car Rider & Staff Kids
Benders/Harmony Walkers/Bikers

Pk & K walkers will go to trophy case and sit in hallway.
2nd - 4th Bus go to designated spots in hallway.
Students must be walked to their dismissal spot, led by a teacher, not sent down without supervision.
Students follow the WAVE the entire time to dismissal.

In hallway:
Students should be sitting with their assigned busses.
One shoulder to the wall.
Sit criss cross.
Keep your bodies to yourself.
Backpacks on with all items inside.
Voice level zero.
Tags out on right shoulder.
Teachers actively monitoring and correcting student behavior.
Walking to cafeteria:
Follow the WAVE.
Walk in grade level order.
Walk with your assigned bus.
Level zero.
Tags out on right shoulder.
Walk all the way to your bus or line.
Teachers actively monitoring and correcting student behavior.
In cafeteria:
Sit with your assigned bus.
Voice level zero.
Sit criss cross.
Keep your bodies to yourself.
Backpacks on with all items inside.

Students may talk on a level one after 3:15.

Rainy Day
York and Cox walkers sit on the bottom of the stage with only TWO teachers monitoring the rest will help with car rider.
When most busses are done, 1-2 teachers stay the rest go to car rider. Help walk students with umbrellas to their cones, relieve teachers at cones, help monitor students.

Hallway Placement:
Pre-K will sit under the center awning outside.
Kinder will sit under the left side awning outside.
1st grade will sit under the right side awning outside.
2nd grade will sit in the first Kindergarten hallway.
3rd grade will sit in the second Kindergarten hallway.
4th grade will sit in the first 1st grade hallway.
Car Rider Student Expectations:
Facing forward
Sit criss cross.
Keep your bodies to yourself.
Backpacks on with all items inside.
Voice level zero.
Actively listening for their name to be called on the walkie.
Teachers actively monitoring and correcting student behavior.
If a grade level has a cone duty, monitoring teachers will switch with conde duty teachers every 10-15 mins.
Walking to cone:
Students need to walk directly to their cone on the grass by the sidewalk.
No playing at the cone
Wait for vehicle to stop before approaching the door.
Wait for teacher or staff to open the vehicle door.
Rainy Day
Pre-K will sit on the left side of the main hallway in front of the Nurse’s office.
Kinder will sit on the right side of the main hallway in front of the Nurse’s office.
1st grade will sit in hallway in front of A-3.
2nd grade will sit in the first Kindergarten hallway.
3rd grade will sit in the second Kindergarten hallway.
4th grade will sit in the first 1st grade hallway.
Teachers who are not monitoring will walk students to their cones with an umbrella. Need to avoid mud when possible.

Walk to corner and stop
4 at a time to grab bike/scooter
Grab bike or scooter and walk around the bike racks to the bike/scooter lines
When walking to sidewalk, must be in two lines
Walking, not riding, bike or scooter to sidewalk
All wheels on the ground
Wait on grass until told to cross on the crosswalk
Walk on crosswalk to the sidewalk
Keep going, do not stop at beginning of sidewalk.
Rainy Day
Go to car rider on rainy days. Help walk students with umbrellas to their cones, relieve teachers at cones, help monitor students.

Daycare: Checked off at Daycare spot by duty teachers.
Benders/Harmony Biker/Walkers: Checked off at Grade level spot by grade level duty teacher.
Lockeridge/Cox/York Biker/Walkers: Checked off at special hallway by duty teachers.
Bus: Checked off at Grade level spot by grade level duty teacher.
All, except car and daycare, are scanned when leaving.

All barcodes must be printed from Student Tracks - If your students’ falls off, it is your responsibility to ask your Team Leader to print another one
Put Packing Tape across barcodes
All Backpack tags should be attached on the Top Center Backpack Handle
Write all information with a Black Sharpie
All information needs to be spelled out (Neighborhoods, Daycare names, etc.)
Follow Abbreviation examples for all modes of transportation
W (walker), B/s (Biker/Scooter), B (Bus), C (Car), D (Daycare), S (Staff Kids)
Bus Smart Tags
Every student that has an assigned bus route must have a smart tag.
Must be attached to their Top Center Backpack Handle.
They will be scanned everyday to board the bus.
If a student has lost their smart tag, contact Brianna to order new one.
