Our District Wide Professional Learning will be August 7th and 9th, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at various district locations.
All district teachers are expected to attend this professional learning day. Participants must be seated at the start time of the sessions noted on the individual content/program area Conference Agendas.
To earn credit for participating in DWPL, participants will be scanned in and out with a timestamp at their assigned location.
Additional information can also be found in our Day At A Glance and Conference Agendas.
Due to the focus on alignment of our Science and Social Studies subject areas across grade levels, each elementary principal is to send at least one teacher at each grade level Kindergarten through 6th to attend the Science and Social Studies District Wide Professional Learning.
Teachers will use their barcodes located on the back of their campus IDs for District Wide Professional Learning. The barcode will serve as an admission ticket. At each location, teachers will have their barcode scanned in the morning as they arrive and in the afternoon as they leave. The scanners will date and time stamp each barcode ticket. If a teacher does not have his/her barcode, he/she must sign in and sign out.
We are requesting that all teachers arrive and are seated by 8:00 a.m. for their first session. We encourage teachers to have carpools designated prior to the professional learning day. CISD police will be present to direct traffic at larger attendance locations at opening and closing of the sessions to expedite traffic flow.
Teachers will be able to print their certificate of attendance by September 18th via Eduphoria Strive.
General and mini-sessions information will be posted on the Conference Agenda portion of the District Wide Professional Learning website.
We want to commend the Teaching and Learning Directors, Coordinators, Specialists, District Instructional Coaches, and Administrative Assistant staff for their work towards providing quality professional learning for our district teachers on August 7th and 9th, 2024. Countless hours go into the planning and implementation of District Wide Professional Learning.
