On 1/16/26 4-Year Plans in Naviance will lock for the remainder of the year. The next opportunity for changes will be during Cavalier Checkpoint in March.

25-26 CISD Academic Catalog

Students should continue researching courses by reading course descriptions, talking with their teachers, counselors, APs, and peers, and attending the CP Showcase. On Thursday, 3/19, every student will receive a print out of their Course Request in 1st period and have conversations with each of their teachers to go over placement and recommendations for next year. Counselors will be accepting changes until 3/20/26.

Final Course Request verification will take place at the beginning of April through the student's Home Access Center (in SSO). The student will submit any changes necessary by Friday, 4/10/26. On Friday, 4/10, all course requests for the 2026-2027 will lock. This means that students are not able to change their course requests or schedules again for the 26-27 school year.

Schedules will be distributed the week prior to the first day of school. Counselors build schedules based off of Course Requests, using students first choice courses and alternates. Students are not able to change their schedules after 4/10/26.
