Music Program
All Connect elementary and middle school students participated in the production of "Space is the Place", written by our sixth grade teacher, Mr. Jake. Students danced, recorded audio, played instruments, acted, created sets, sang, and more.
Music at Connect plays a vital part in our student's education. It's one of the best ways to bring our students together for a common goal: music making.
Our school emphasizes hands on learning and there's nothing more first-hand and immediate then playing music. Memorization, problem solving, spatial awareness, understanding pitch, and music reading are but some of the skills that are utilized when learning to play music. Most importantly music creates a sense of community in the classroom, from the Kindergarteners singing their first folk tunes to the middle school students learning to play multiple instruments and create digital music.
