Dr. Pamela Seda is an educational consultant in Atlanta with over 30 years of educational experience. She is the owner of Seda Educational Consulting, creator of the VANG Game, and co-author of Choosing to See: A Framework for Equity in the Math Classroom. As a regular speaker about math equity at conferences, Dr. Seda is committed to changing how students experience mathematics, especially those from marginalized groups, and advocates for mathematics instruction that develops all students as mathematical thinkers and problem-solvers.
Dr. Kara Imm is a K-12 teacher educator, based in Brooklyn, who designs and leads on-site professional development and school-based coaching to school communities throughout New York City, across the U. S. and internationally. When not partnering with schools, districts and state programs, she supports the student teaching experiences of K – 5th grade candidates in East Harlem through her work at Hunter College (City University of New York). For over a decade, she has created original professional development courses for K-12 STEM teachers at Math for America (MfA). Hello! I have spent over 22 years in education and have worked in Chicago, Affton, Brentwood and Maplewood Richmond Heights. I have a passion for math, data and curriculum writing. The past three years I have worked as a math interventionist focusing on ensuring all students can reach their math goals. I do interventions as well as enrichment for students. In 2023 I completed my Doctorate at Murray State University. My dissertation focused on different math texts and their correlation to MAP scores in St. Louis County. While text does matter to an extent, what matters most is the teacher's knowledge, confidence, and understanding of the content and best teaching practices. Gloria is an instructional specialist supporting the ISP’s Math314 and mySci programs.
