TORONTO DOG TRAINING
TORONTO DOG TRAINING
They Need Guidance, Structure, and Skill-Building.
You love your dog — but right now, life feels harder than it should.
Pulling on leash.
Ignoring cues.
Too much energy with nowhere productive to put it.
And that quiet guilt when you’re busy and they’re bored.
You’re not failing your dog.
They’re just missing the right environment.
Day School is not daycare.
It’s immersive training, intentional enrichment, and professional guidance — all built into your dog’s day.
While you work, your dog:
Learns real-world manners and impulse control
Builds confidence and calm behaviour
Comes back mentally fulfilled, not overstimulated
You get progress — not just tired paws.
Most dogs begin with an initial high-frequency training phase lasting several weeks, where they attend training daily to quickly build strong habits and reliable behaviour before transitioning to a less frequent routine.

Day School is a structured day-training program where your dog spends the day working directly with a professional trainer. Dogs are dropped off in the morning and stay for a minimum of six hours, allowing time for multiple focused training sessions throughout the day.
During this time your dog practices obedience, leash manners, impulse control, and real-world life skills in a controlled training environment.
Day School is especially helpful for owners with busy schedules who want their dog to receive consistent professional training during the day while they work or handle other commitments.
Day School is ideal for busy owners who want professional help training their dog but don’t have the time to do multiple training sessions themselves each day. While you work or manage your schedule, your dog receives structured training with a professional trainer.
This program works especially well for dogs who pull on leash, struggle with impulse control, get overly excited around people or other dogs, or ignore commands outside the home. It’s designed to help dogs build calm behaviour, better focus, and reliable obedience in real-world environments.
If a dog requires more intensive behavioural work, Board & Train or private sessions may be recommended instead.
Many owners come to Day School because everyday situations with their dog have become frustrating or overwhelming. This often includes pulling on leash, jumping on people, ignoring commands, overexcitement around guests or other dogs, and difficulty settling down.
These behaviours usually happen when dogs haven’t been given clear structure and consistent guidance. Training focuses on helping dogs develop better impulse control, calmer behaviour, and reliable responses so daily life becomes easier for both you and your dog.
Training focuses on clear communication, structure, and consistency so dogs understand exactly what is expected of them. A big part of the process is increasing your dog’s engagement and motivation, helping them learn to focus on and work with the handler rather than becoming distracted by their environment.
Tools such as prong collars, e-collars, and crates are commonly used as part of the training process. These tools help create clear communication and structure so dogs can learn more effectively.
Training plans are tailored to each dog’s temperament and behaviour challenges, with the goal of building calm behaviour, reliable obedience, and better decision-making in everyday life.
Training progress varies depending on the dog, their history, and the behaviours being addressed. However, many owners begin to see noticeable improvements within the first two weeks of training, particularly with foundational skills such as obedience, leash manners, and impulse control.
Most dogs begin with an initial intensive training phase lasting several weeks, where consistent daily training helps establish strong habits and reliable behaviour. After this foundation is built, many dogs transition to a maintenance program - meaning less frequent training days that continue improving skills and reinforce the training over time.
More complex behavioural issues such as severe anxiety, reactivity, or aggression may require a longer training process.
Yes. The goal of training is to teach your dog clear behaviours and expectations, not commands that only work with the trainer. As your dog learns these skills, we guide owners on how to reinforce and maintain the training at home.
Because the behaviours are practiced consistently during training, most dogs are able to transfer those skills to their owners and everyday environments.
The first step is scheduling a free phone consultation. During this call we’ll discuss your dog’s behaviour, your training goals, and determine whether Day School is the right fit.
From there, we’ll guide you through the next steps to get your dog started in the program.
