Summer 2020
I decided to redo my production logo after switching songs to fit the new style. Along with this I felt as though the old logo would not be versatile enough to work on many sheets and documents and only work in certain situations. I used a simple technique of creating three images and looping them in super short intervals and then I added copyright free music from a creator called Prod. Riddman who creates free to use Lofi music. This created a much sleeker looking logo which overall I am much happier with.
I wanted to keep my production logo simple while still giving it some wow factor. I really liked the look of production logos and animated videos using paper airplanes and I thought I might as well give it a try. It was much harder than originally anticipated. The original plan was to follow the tutorial to create a "2.5D animation" however as I had never used After Effects until a few days ago when I started to follow the tutorial I spent a lot of time being very confused. I learnt how to create the arrow animation displayed in the video below. I then drew out my final logo and polled to my instagram which font was better for some audience feedback. The response was pretty close but the more slick design was chosen over the cursive. I also decided to change the colour to fit the theme of my website and added some finishing touches to the drawing. Using the concept from the more modern font choice I created a custom font to use.
