Jewish Holidays

As the Jewish calendar is a lunar one, there is often much confusion over when each holiday falls on the Gregorian calendar used internationally. Indeed, confusion is so ubiquitous that a common way to change the topic in Jewish circles is to as "So... when are we davening Rosh Chodesh?" (When will we be saying the prayers for the first day of the month?) The following table lists common Jewish holidays, notes their relative importance, describes the holiday briefly, and gives the Gregorian dates.
