Campers: Connecticut College Girls Basketball Camp is open to girls ages 5-15.
Camp Director: Connecticut College Girls Basketball Camp is owned and directed by Connecticut College Head Women's Basketball Coach, Jackie Smith. Coach Smith is in her 4th year as Head Coach at the College.
Camp Staff: Connecticut College Girls Basketball Camp is proud to have a dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic staff each year that provides each camper with an outstanding experience. Our camp is staffed by current and former college players and college and high school coaches. Our staff's goal is to ensure that each camper has a safe and enjoyable week of camp while improving their fundamental basketball skills in a team environment. The camp staff includes a certified trainer.
Connecticut College Facilities: All camp activities take place in the Connecticut College Athletic Center. All basketball-related activities take place on one of five full-length courts in Luce Field House.
Swimming: Connecticut College Girls Basketball Camp offers optional swimming in the afternoon. Campers who choose to swim must pass a swimming test. The pool is staffed by certified lifeguards.
Necessary Equipment: All campers should wear comfortable athletic clothing including athletic shoes, shorts, or sweatpants and a t-shirt. Please - no jewelry or watches. Campers do not need to bring basketballs.
Lunch: Campers may purchase lunch from the school cafeteria which is an all-you-can-eat option for $8 per day. Campers can also bring their lunch, which will be refrigerated prior to lunch break. Please make sure to send lunch in a cooler or insulated container with the camper's name clearly labeled.
Physical Examination: In accordance with State of CT Health Department regulations, all campers must have a medical examination form on file with the camp prior to their participation in the Connecticut College Girls Basketball Camp. The medical exam must have been completed within the past three years. Additionally, the Administration of Medication form must be completed and signed, if applicable. Medications, both prescription and non-prescription must be in the original container.
