Department of English and Cultural Studies, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Bannerghatta Road Campus, is organizing an International Conference (online) titled Food in/of Pandemic that spans across a week from 6th May to 12th May. The conference will include a workshop on methodological interventions in the field of Food Studies, panel discussions by academics, public lectures, paper presentations, and installations.

The themes that the conference aspires to explore within the context of food and pandemic include, but are not limited to, the following:

2. Commensality and Future of Eating Together.

3. Foodways and Identity Politics Post COVID -19.

4. Food Sovereignty and Food Security.

5. Ecological crises and their implications on food.

6. Narratives on food in/of the pandemic.

7. Food in Popular Culture amidst Pandemic.

8. Food Entrepreneurship in Pandemic.
