Thanks to all of the participants for their inspiration, research, creativity, and hard work. Thanks also to them for their patience and resilience since this CVSEF season was a time like no other. I am so proud of you for the positivity and growth you have shown throughout this process.
Thanks to parents, mentors, qualified scientists, and designated supervisors. During a year when it would have been easy to say, "I just can't help you this year." You persisted and lent a hand to support the growing mind of a young scientist or engineer.
Thanks also to CV faculty, staff, administration, and School Board for their support of STEM in the district.
Special thanks to Dr. Michael Smith, Mrs. Rachel Metzinger, Mrs. Nancy Lopez, Dr. Daniel Daneker, and Mrs. Tara Flick for the gift of their time and expertise to serve as our local Scientific Review Committee. Without your help, the CVSEF literally could not happen. Your review of projects ensures student safety and compliance with the safest procedural standards for student research and allows students to compete in the North Museum Science and Engineering Fair, and gives our students a chance to earn the opportunity to compete in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.
And finally, thanks to the North Museum of Nature and Science for keeping a half century of science and engineering competition alive in Lancaster County. My conversations with the long list of accomplished engineers of all varieties, chemists, microbiologists, geologists, physicians, and researchers who volunteer as judges in the NMSEF and are eager to share their story of how the NMSEF (or, as it was once called, the LNSEF) inspired them and shaped their pathway to success is a strong testament to the value of your efforts.
