Paul Steven Stone is an essayist and novelist. He has written various articles on Cambridge Day including "How to save our sugar-coated gentrification and save Cambridge for all of us" and "Affordable housing used by Unity Slate pols to deflect criticism, questioning on motives." Esmee Decola is a high school student and long-time resident of Cambridge, MA, and shares her thoughts and experiences with gentrification in her neighborhood.
Chandra Salvi Harrington is a fourth-generation Cantabrigian; her great-grandparents settled in Cambridge in the 1880s. Chandra’s career in the nonprofit sector includes work in the areas of housing, career development for Black and Hispanic youth, and over twenty years in museum management. She is a Cambridge Historical Commissioner, a member of the Cambridge Preservation Act Committee, and a former councilor at the Cambridge Historical Society (now History Cambridge). Chandra is CBHP’s treasurer and has been the driving force of CBHP’s oral history project.
Marie is a criminal defense attorney specializing in post-conviction work. She is admitted to the Bars of Massachusetts, Colorado, and Florida. She attended UMASS as an undergraduate and New England Law and Yale Law School for legal education. She is 4th generation East Cambridge and as the old neighborhood came under threat, she became more and more interested in historic preservation and the immigrant/industrial history in East Cambridge. Betty is a trained and licensed Mental Health professional. She was the Executive Director of After School programming for the city of Somerville for many years. Her undergraduate degree is from UMASS Boston and her graduate degree is from Lesley.
