Please make sure to carefully read these program requirements.
To receive your certificate of completion from the University of Florida and the Concord Consortium, you must complete the three pieces of the AI in Math program, which are called "Sequences." Inside each sequence, you will find activities about artificial intelligence, math, and related topics. All of the materials that you need will be available on the STEM Resource Finder https://learn.concord.org/ after you register and log in.
Green Sequence (2 activities)
Blue Sequence (6 activities)
Orange Sequence (2 activities)
Students who complete the entire program, which means answering all of the questions in the three sequencies to the best of their ability, will receive a certificate of completion from the University of Florida and The Concord Consortium. The entire AI in Math program should take students approximately 10 hours to complete.
The first task for all students is to complete the Green Sequence. When you log into the STEM Resource Finder, https://learn.concord.org/, you will see the Green Sequence as shown below. The sequence contains two activities which will take between one and two hours to complete in total.
This is an important part of research so please take it seriously. Answer all of the questions to the best of your ability.
Your work in the Green Sequence will save automatically. If you only get part way through the questions and need to stop and come back later, you can do that!
Many questions in the Green Sequence will have a "Submit" button. Once you press Submit, your answers will be locked.
Once you have completed the Green Sequence, email ai4vs@concord.org to let us know!
You must answer all the questions in the Green Sequence to receive your certificate. Remember, you aren't receiving a grade for the AI in Math program. Your effort and thoughtful answers are what counts!
After you complete the Green Sequence, you will be randomly sorted into one of two groups: GATORS or SHARKS. This process may take up to one week. Please be patient! You will receive an email when your group is ready. You can upload the email you receive to your enrichment folder for Segment 1 and receive enrichment credit!
Both groups will do all three AI in Math Sequences, they will just do them in a different order. This way, the AI in Math team will have time to support all participating students with each piece of the program!
Note: Students cannot switch groups once they are assigned.
(1) Complete the Green Sequence.
(2) Complete the Blue Sequence.
(3) Take the Algebra 1 Segment 1 exam and email AI4VS@concord.org to let us know.
(4) Complete the Orange Sequence.
(1) Complete the Green Sequence
(2) Take the Algebra 1 Segment 1 exam and email AI4VS@concord.org to let us know.
(3) Complete the Orange Sequence.
(4) Complete the Blue Sequence.
The AI in Math Sequences will be available to you in the correct order for your group. All you need to do is remember to let us know when you complete each sequence and segment exam so that we can unlock the next part of the program for you!
