Parent-teacher conferences are held twice a year. Conferences are times that you can meet with your student's teacher to hear about how they are doing at school--and to ask any questions you may have. At Comstock Elementary and STEM Academy, you will make an appointment with the teacher. At Comstock Middle School and Comstock High School, you can drop in to see the teachers; no appointment is needed during conference times. When you meet with the teacher, the teacher may
show you work that your student has done,
show you important test scores,
share your student's progress toward certain skills,
and discuss concerns they may have.
If you have any questions for the teacher, please ask.
If you need or would like an interpreter, please ask!
If you are unable to come to the parent teacher conferences for some reason, that is okay.
You can email your student's teacher anytime with any concerns that you have. Many elementary school teachers also communicate with families using Class Dojo. Class Dojo has translation options.
If your student's teacher does not use Class Dojo and you are not comfortable writing an email in English--please contact me on Talking Points with your concerns, and I will help you get connected with the teacher.
