About me

Greetings Computech Tigers! I am Coach Gonzales and I teach physical education. I am currently the Co Athletic Director and coach 7th grade girls soccer/softball. I made the choice to study in the kinesiology realm due to my athletic background. I graduated from San Jose State with a degree in Kinesiology. While attending San Jose State University I was on athletic scholarship playing D1 Softball for the Spartans. Physical education was an avenue I wanted to pursue because I understood the importance of how physical activity can impact our health and lifelong wellness. Along with teaching physical education I wanted to pursue coaching. I believe athletics is one avenue that teaches students life lessons. Leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, work ethic, competition, time management among many of other aspects we need in everyday life. I came to Computech 4 years ago after teaching at Edison High School for 12 years. At Edison High School I taught PE and was the Head Varsity softball coach. Being able to have the opportunity to teach at Computech comes with great pride. The students here are amazingly hard working and driven both in and out of the classroom. The expectations for our students are high and with good reason. Our reputation perceives us! I look forward to another school year meeting amazing students and teaching students the value of physical education and the many different ways to properly stay healthy.
