What are the A-G requirements?
To meet minimum admission requirements, you must complete 15 yearlong high school courses with a letter grade of C or better — at least 11 of them prior to your last year of high school.
Keep in mind that taking approved high school (A-G) courses isn't the only way to satisfy these requirements. You also may meet them by completing college courses or earning certain scores on various acceptable exams.
2 Years Social Science
including one year of U.S. history OR one semester of U.S. history and one semester of American government
4 Years English
college preparatory English composition/literature (including no more than 1 year of Advanced ESL/ELD)
3 Years Mathematics
including or integrating topics covered in elementary algebra, two- and three-dimensional geometry, advanced algebra
2 Years Science
At least 1 year of physical science and 1 year of biological science
2 Years Language Other Than English
of a language other than English* (Courses must be in the same language)
1 Year Visual & Performing Arts
courses in the same discipline required, chosen from the following disciplines: Dance, Music, Theater, Visual Arts or Interdisciplinary Arts
1 Year College Prep Elective
chosen from any area on approved A-G course list
