"I answer the heroic question 'Death, where is thy sting?' with
'It is here in my heart and mind and memories."
-Maya Angelou
While grief is typically associated with the death of a loved one, people feel grief for all kinds of losses: losses of jobs, relationships, routines, and more. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we are all experiencing losses of some kind. And, while grief is a universal human experience, each person grieves in their own way.
The Comp Sci High community is committed to helping our students and families cope with the losses we have faced during the Covid-19 pandemic. On this page, you can find referrals for individual and group grief counseling, financial & burial resources, and informational articles about different types of grief and ways to cope.
While there is no way to take away a loss, the strength and support of a community can help us all find ways to cope, heal, and make meaning of our experiences. We hope the information in these pages helps with your process.
