Weekly Updates
A message from the PRINCIPAL
Hello CSH families,
It's the final countdown. Trimester 3 only has 28 days (25 for seniors). This term will determine what next year looks like for our students. It will dictate whether they move onto the next grade, repeat their current grade, or need summer school. If you are unsure of where your child stands academically, please reach out to me immediately. And as always, please make sure:
Students are present daily and on time. And if they have to be absent, make sure they email their teachers to get the work they miss.
Make those doctor appointments on Wednesday afternoons as much as possible and when you cannot, make them early in the morning and send students to school after. THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO MISS SCHOOL PERIOD (unless its an emergency and in that case refer to #1- and make sure they send that email).
Ask students what they are learning and what they are struggling with. And then send them to get help from their teacher. For the shy students, you should email the teacher to help them start the conversation.
Regents and AP exams are coming up and are required to graduate. Please keep that in mind because their attendance at school is the only way to help them prepare to pass those exams. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out @ 6464214523
Here to help,
Ms. Alder

Important Updates
Uniform Reminder:
STARTING MONDAY APRIL 15, students will be expected to remove their coats and jackets and be back in full uniform again. Our building is warm and they will not need coats in classrooms, so they will be expected to take them off when they arrive. Our uniform has a hoody and sweaters if they tend to get cold.
Academic Must-Know
Have questions about how your student is doing in their classes? Email their teacher directly. See our staff directory button above.
ACTIVATE YOUR ALMA ACCOUNT. You can log into your students' Alma accounts to see how they are doing using your own Alma login. Need access to your Alma account? Please contact the Main Office, at 646.421.4523.
Tech Must-know
Students who are currently in possession of broken/damaged chromebooks and laptops, should bring them to the Main Office to be assessed. Mr. Poon will follow up via email with the cost of the damage, if any. If you have any additional questions please contact the office, 347.352.1528.
Please email any tech concerns directly to the Operations team. ops@compscihigh.org or call 646.421.4523
We do our very best to ensure no one's personal items get misplaced or stolen, however, we need students to take ownership of their personal belongings. CSH does not assume any responsibility for personal tech items (headphones, watches etc/) that go missing.
CRISIS RESOURCES
We care deeply about you, your children, and your families, and we strive to communicate that not only through our words but through our actions.
Part of showing that care is ensuring that you and your children are equipped with resources to support yourselves and keep safe. While we pride ourselves on maintaining regular contact with families, our staff members may not be available after school hours, which is often when crises and difficult situations occur. We encourage you to save the following mental health hotline numbers in your phones so that you and/or your children can reach them easily should you ever need to.
Crisis Text Line: Text "GOT5" to 741741.
Suicide Prevention Lifeline: Call or text 988, or chat online here.
Mobile Crisis: In New York City, if you call 988, you can request a mobile crisis team to respond to the person in crisis. If your request is accepted, a team of trained mental health professionals will respond to the person's home within hours to conduct an emergency assessment, safety plan, and support with connecting to ongoing support.
911/Emergency Rooms: If you or someone you know is in imminent danger of hurting themselves or others, call 911 for an ambulance or bring them to the nearest emergency room.
