Drug School was developed privately in November of 2018 by our program director and donated to CompassionRx as a means to improve the practice skill set of pharmacy technicians. Pharmacy technicians are usually underemployed individuals with limited education in their professional practice.
Currently in the United States, there is no training standard for pharmacy technicians. In most US states, a person can work in a pharmacy with no formal education. By continuing the Drug School project, we aim to improve the careers of pharmacy technicians and provide alternative paths to career advancement.
In the next 10 years, CompassionRx would add the following enhancements to the Drug School program:
Subscribers to the YouTube channel: 20
Estimated Video Views: 1,100
Annual Operating Budget: $300
Estimated capital costs for project completion: $8,000, operating budget to be grant funded.
