Seeking support is a meaningful first step toward healing and growth, and I’m honored you’re here.
I’m Subaika Husaini Sayed, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and the founder of Compassion Creek Counseling Services. I provide secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy to clients across Texas, supporting individuals and families as they navigate emotional challenges, life transitions, and personal growth.
I was born and raised in Northern India and have lived in both India and the United States. These cross-cultural experiences deeply shape my work and allow me to bring a culturally responsive, compassionate lens to therapy. I understand how culture, family expectations, identity, and transitions can influence emotional well-being, relationships, and self-worth.
As a millennial parent raising Gen Z and Alpha children, and as part of the sandwich generation, I also bring lived understanding of modern parenting, intergenerational relationships, caregiving stress, and the complexity of balancing multiple roles. This perspective helps me connect authentically with clients navigating similar challenges.
I work with individuals, couples, teens (16+), parents, and caregivers, supporting concerns such as:
Anxiety and depression
Trauma, PTSD, and Complex PTSD
Attachment and relationship challenges
Parenting and family dynamics
ADHD and emotional regulation
Life transitions, identity concerns, and occupational stress
Women’s issues, self-esteem, and codependency
Grief, aging-related concerns, and caregiver stress
I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse populations, ages 5 to 85 in my clincial work, including at-risk adolescents in a residential treatment center, adults navigating personal, vocational and work-life challenges, and individuals healing from trauma.
My work is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, meaning you are met with empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful agent of change, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.
I use an integrative, evidence-based approach informed by developmental theory and polyvagal principles, focusing on how nervous system regulation, attachment, and past experiences shape present-day functioning. I draw from the following modalities to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, goals, and lived experiences:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Ego State, Inner Child, and Parts-Informed Work
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Attachment-focused and developmental perspectives
Trauma-informed care
Mindfulness, grounding, and somatic awareness practices
Together, we explore how past experiences and unmet needs may be influencing present-day patterns. Therapy may include psychoeducation, emotional and somatic awareness, inner-child and self-compassion work, and strength-based strategies to support resilience, regulation, and meaningful change.
Healing isn’t linear. We move at a pace that feels safe and empowering for you, focusing on both insight and practical tools you can use in daily life.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, gardening and experimenting with growing vegetables, and practicing nature photography. These activities help me stay grounded, present, and balanced.
