Travel Grant

We are happy to announce that SIGMM will partially support travel expenses for selected area chairs to attend the ACM Multimedia 2019 TPC Meeting/Workshop through a small number of travel grants.

Criteria

All area chairs for ACM Multimedia 2019 are eligible to apply for this travel grant.

The travel grant will be awarded to selected applicants. We intend to give priority to area chairs who are:

• more junior in the community
• from research areas that are under-represented in the community
• presenting at the TPC workshop
• from regions where research funding is scarce

Selection will be done by the ACM Multimedia 2019 General Chairs and TPC Chairs.

The Grant

The travel expenses should be claimed on a reimbursement basis. The maximum claimable amount is based on the location of the home institution of the area chair:

• North America (US and Canada): USD 700
• Outside of North America: USD 1500

The grant can only be used to cover:

• Transport (via air or ground transportation) directly related to attending ACM Multimedia 2019 TPC Meeting/Workshop.
• Accommodation (covering the nights of June 15 - 17 2019)

Application

To apply for the travel grant, please fill in the application form with the basic applicant information as well as a brief statement about the importance of the travel grant to support travel to the TPC Meeting/Workshop.

The deadline for application is May 9, 2019.

Notification of results will be made before May 16, 2019.
