Timesheets (Older Youth- 16+ ONLY)
When you begin your internship, you must submit weekly timesheets detailing your working hours, totaling 25 hours each week. I want you to know that you must submit your completed timesheets on time. Accurate timesheets are required for you to be paid.
Please watch the Time Entry Video, which explains the timesheet entry process. We suggest you watch the full video to familiarize yourself with the system and ensure everything is clear.
Timesheet Completion: Specific instructions HERE.
IMPORTANT:
Hour entry for participants is from Wednesday to Saturday.
No hours can be entered after Saturday; therefore, if you haven't had a chance to enter your hours, you must email the SYEP team by Monday at the latest.
You are allowed to work up to a maximum of 25 hours per week; Any hours above 25 are voluntary and will not be compensated.
You should not exceed 8 hours per day. Your break does not count as work, so if you work from 9 - 5:30 and take a half-hour break, that will count as 8 hours.
After five (5) hours of work, participants must take at least a 30-minute unpaid lunch break; after seven (6) hours, they must take at least a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
Again, it is YOUR responsibility to submit your completed timesheets on time. Please enter your time by the deadline to avoid a delayed payment.
