• When is the concert?:  Thursday, October 15th

• Where is the concert?: Smithson Valley Middle School Cafeteria

• What time is the concert?: 6:30pm

• What do I wear?: All students need to wear their orchestra shirt and blue jeans with closed toe shoes. Students may wear Halloween headgear with approval

• When is my call time?: Everyone should be at the cafeteria BEFORE 5:45pm. This will ensure students have time to be tuned and know where to sit *ALL ORCHESTRA OFFICERS SHOULD BE THERE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.

• Materials needed: All students are responsible for bringing their own instrument and music. If a Bass or Cello player cannot transport their instruments-please let me know ASAP!

• Why are we having a concert?: Concerts are to evaluate all the students as a group. Being a performer is an essential part of being a musician!

• EVERY CONCERT IS A MAJOR TEST GRADE! EVERY STUDENT MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE!

• (Students who fail to show up without any communication will receive an incomplete. Please make plans to drop off and pick up your child.)

• Cookie and Juice Social: After the concert, we will celebrate with juice and cookies! I am asking all parents for donations!-All MUST be store bought and nut free!

• Concert order:

Spring Branch Concert Orchestra (1st and 3rd period combined)

Smithson Valley Bravo Orchestra (7th period)

Smithson Valley Junior Varsity Orchestra (6th period)

Spring Branch Philharmonic Orchestra (2nd period)

Smithson Valley Varsity Orchestra (5th period)

• *Students are highly encouraged to stay for the WHOLE concert to support their peers. Students who leave early will not be permitted to participate in the cookie and juice social.*
