My name is Sandra Piña and this will be my 5th year teaching math at Canyon High School, 8th year in education overall. I am also an assistant softball coach.

I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After I graduated high school I ventured to Texas to play softball at Howard College and then Angelo State University. 

Before coming to Cougar Nation, I taught at the DAEP in San Angelo for 3 years.

I am married with 3 precious kids (8 year old son, 7 year old daughter, and almost 3 year old daughter), and two dogs.

I absolutely LOVE math and especially enjoy teaching it. I know it is not everyone's favorite subject, but I hope to make it a little bit more enjoyable for students whenever they are in my classroom!
